Rev. Dr. Joseph Kyser, Minister
As an openly gay man and lifelong member of the Church, Joseph has sought to combine his interests of education and Christianity together through his studies, leadership, and community participation. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of Central Missouri, as well as a Master of Divinity from Boston University. In 2020, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of British Columbia.
Joseph brings an energetic passion for living intentionally in a faith community. Previously, he has served three congregations as an associate minister, and has worked to promote equal rights for the queer community within religious settings.
Pam, Office Administrative Assistant
Pam thoroughly enjoys her work at Deer Lake United Church. She loves when people pop by for a quick hello and enjoys the church atmosphere. She has been with us since September 2010, and is in the church office Tuesday through Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pam and husband Vince have two sons, Paul and Lucas.
Terri, Choir Director
We are fortunate to have Terri as our choir director to assist in our music program. She is a wealth of knowledge, experiences, and expertise. We are truly blessed to have her direct our choir with such professionalism.
