As a progressive faith community Deer Lake United supports the tremendous efforts of scientists and healthcare workers around the world. We continue to be mindful of the consequences of COVID-19. Everyone is welcomed to worship with us in-person with the encouragement of using hand sanitizer upon entry, social distancing, and wearing a mask as you feel comfortable. While our chairs are at full capacity, we ask everyone to self-select their seating based on comfort level. If you are feeling uncomfortable attending in-person, we encourage everyone to watch our YouTube live-streams on our YouTube channel here.

Welcome!

We are a faith community located on the edge of Deer Lake Park (next to Hart House Restaurant)
in the Heart of Burnaby, BC.

We are located on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territories of the hən̓qəmin̓əm̓ and sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples.

You are welcome to join us for in-person worship. You can also check out our weekly stream on our YouTube Channel here or through the videos below.

We welcome all people regardless of class, race, gender identity, sexuality, age, ability, or native language to our Christian community that explores and expresses spirituality through:

~ Congregational Life
~ Spiritual Growth
~ Faithful Action

The various ways we engage in these three ministries may be found at menu links near the top of the page.

We are starting an
Environmental Group

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the dire news of our changing climate and the plight of those suffering from the effects of increasing Carbon emissions? Is there anything we as individuals can do? We are inviting like-minded individuals aimed at making real and lasting change in the way our community and leaders care for the earth to come together to seek to use what talents we have, and to begin a journey of positive change for the environment. If you are interested in joining, please contact the church office at office@deerlakeunited.ca.
